In today’s climate of growing energy needs and increasing environmental concern, alternatives to the use of non-renewable and polluting fossil fuels have to be investigated. One such alternative is solar energy. Solar panels consists of photovoltaic cells, converts the solar energy into electrical energy and this electrical energy is stored into a battery. The system designed here is very useful for gardens, where huge trees exist. In such places availability of solar energy may be difficult due to the shadow of trees; therefore solar lamp posts may not function properly. To overcome this problem, here in this project work, an automatic movable solar lamp post is designed that tracks the sun automatically during day time and shuts down during night. It also activates the lamp automatically during night and switches off during day time. The proposed project work is designed to detect the presence of the sun and can position the solar panel towards sun’s direction automatically, i.e., the system rotates the panel automatically according to the sun position, so that maximum solar power can be utilized. Provision is made in this system, so that during daytime, if the sky is clouded and the panel is not receiving any sunlight, then the system itself will be switched off automatically, by which precious energy of the sun, which is stored in the rechargeable battery can be saved. The purpose of this project is developing an intelligent sensing and alerting system that can be used to alert the people in CWC (Central ware housing corporation) by detecting temperature, moisture, fire and earthquake using different sensors. We are going to place these sensors in ware house. The control unit grabs the values from sensors and sends these values through Wi-Fi module to web ink. The Internet of things (IOT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to connect and exchange data. IOT allows objects to be sensed or controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit in addition to reduced human intervention. This project makes use of micro controller. It acts as heart of the project. This controller can efficiently communicate with the output and input modules which are being used. Temperature sensor, fire sensor, moisture sensor, MEMS sensor, Wi-Fi modules are interfaced to this micro controller. Temperature sensor senses the temperature in the house and moisture sensor senses the moisture content in the house. Additionally, it can monitor the fire and earthquake by using fire sensor, MEMS sensor. If the value exceeds the predefined value alerts given through webpage. This intelligent process is done by using Embedded C language.

The main purpose of this paper is to prevent vehicle theft. This functionality is achieved by detecting vehicle status in theft mode and by sending an SMS which is generated automatically. This SMS is then sent to the owner of the vehicle. The owner can then send back the SMS tin order to disable the ignition of the vehicle. Thus in this way crimes can be reduced to a great extent as vehicles today are being stolen in large number. Hence, vehicles today require high security which can be achieved with the help of this application. How the system works is when a person tries to steal the vehicle, the microcontroller is interrupted and the command is sent to the GSM modem to send SMS. On the receipt of the message, the owner sends back the SMS to the GSM modem. This is done in order to stop the engine. This GSM modem is interfaced to the microcontroller. This microcontroller on the receipt of the message uses a mechanism that helps to stop the engine. Motor is being used in this project in order to indicate vehicle ON/OFF state. Further enhancement can be done to this project by using a GPS system that helps to find out the exact position of the vehicle with the help of its latitude and longitude which then can be sent to the owner of the vehicle via SMS. This data can be then entered by the owner on Google map to find out the exact location of the vehicle.

As we know in general home automation we generally use an android app which directly connects to the nodes via rooter (PAN) connection. Almost every home automation service will not provide password security in these days. To overcome these security issues we are designing a login based home automation service with the help of raspberry pi as a server. This raspberry pi stores the information of the user and stores their data like name, user ID, password, etc, in corresponding data base. Here we use HTML, JavaScript and CSS for handling web applications. Here we are using several node MCU boards as subscribers where raspberry pi acts as a publisher device. Here raspberry pi can act as a Gateway between wireless sensor network and Internet. To connect devices between host to slaves here we are using MQTT protocol. Where MQTT protocol works as a public and subscribe model approach. In MQTT protocol server acts as a broker between clients. Due to presence of broker data gets more secure. To host a web page from raspberry pi we are using apache 2software to host the web page.
