The proposed system works on the real time monitoring, so that the system can be utilized by shaking the mobile phone without any manual operation. It uses shake event listener to monitor and maintain the application. The proposed outcome of the project aims as numerous benefits by saving the women as well as keep the users family members or friends updated about their security with an option of shaking the mobile phone. The biggest advantage of the proposed system over existing ones is that it can be easily used when and where necessary without opening the application or without pressing any buttons. Many systems assure limited access security and safety environments. But, even if there are many developed systems that support it, some of them have very complicated registration and the login process. These systems are related with both security and safety of women in any place such as homes, work places or other places where security is needed.

With the COVID-19 cases on the rise this project seems to effectively provide a cost effective and accurate solution for the diagnosis of the novel corona virus among the mass public. This research paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT based project that is capable of recording the user’s vitals such as Pulse rate, SpO2 and Temperature, all of which serve as important indicators of the novel corona virus. Once recorded, the sensors then send the data over to the Arduino UNO micro controller which in turn pushes it to private cloud server using a Wi-Fi module wherein the data can be used for various analysis and visualizations such as scatter plot, histograms and so on. A website then shows the entries made using the micro controller along with the latest COVID-19 statistics and WHO guidelines that have been provided. The results at the prototype stage look really promising and provide a foundation for the project to be scaled upon on a larger scale since the project helps us to curb the virus by introducing viable monitoring methods which can serve as replacements to the traditional and more expensive alternatives.

The energy usage is directly affected with Coal, oil and so towards power generation. Towards this, there has been lot of research work carried out in developing some smart lighting system pertaining to classroom for conserving the energy. In one another research, researchers have developed Android based Smart home system for monitoring the usage of power to avoid any kind of anomaly. In none of the research, researchers have worked towards automating the appliance control towards conserving the energy. Most of them concentrate on controlling the appliances using android devices. So with the upcoming of machine to machine communication where devices can be connected wirelessly leading to IoT, we here have developed an IoT based Smart Energy Management system where appliances like Fan and Bulb to start with are controlled wirelessly based on humidity and light intensity information. These inputs are used towards controlling the appliances intelligently rather than just switching on or off. In addition the system also keeps computing throughput the day power consumption of the appliances which gives the user knowledge on power being consumed over a period of time. in this paper, aims in designing a leg for physically challenged people who can be fixed to amputated leg and the movement of the leg can be controlled by the user himself by TV remote depending on his requirement. The system makes use of a one DC motor which is used for controlling the knee movement, Another DC motor connected to wheels will be in the shoe of ROBO leg, TV remote and an IR receiver to control the knee movement and the wheel movement of leg. The controlling device of the whole system is a microcontroller. IR receiver, two DC motors are interfaced to the microcontroller through motor drive the microcontroller gets input from IR receiver which receives the data related to key pressed in the TV remote. This input is processed by the microcontroller and acts accordingly DC motors.

The purpose of this project is to design and implementation of a monitoring device for blood leakage detection during hemodialysis treatment. The design includes a Photointerrupter, ESP8266 module, and alert components. The validation results show that it only needs a very small amount of blood and takes to detect a blood leakage. As long as the patient wear this system it gives monitoring signal to the health care unit. The absorbent material is placed at the Photointerrupter. Once the blood leakage occurs the absorbent material which is placed at the Photointerrupter absorbs the blood and the alarm will triggers. A warning light will also be activated, and a detecting signal is transmitted to the healthcare station. Immediately the health worker take action to prevent this risk. The proposed system continuously gives out an alert for continuously monitor upto hours/days. This system is more convenient to the patient and also healthcare workers. The Proposed system is developed using ARM Cortex Controller, Photo Interrupter (IR Sensor), Buzzer, LM35, LCD, RTOS and etc.

Fire incident is a disaster that can potentially cause the loss of life, property damage and permanent disability to the affected victim. They can also suffer from prolonged psychological and trauma. Fire fighters are primarily tasked to handle fire incidents, but they are often exposed to higher risks when extinguishing fire, especially in hazardous environments such as in nuclear power plants, petroleum refineries and gas tanks. They are also faced with other difficulties, particularly if fire occurs in narrow and restricted places, as it is necessary to explore the ruins of buildings and obstacles to extinguish the fire and save the victim. With high barriers and risks in fire extinguishment operations, technological innovations can be utilized to assist firefighting. QRob is programmed to find the fire location and stop at maximum distance from the fire. A human operator can monitor the robot by using a camera which connects to a smartphone or remote devices.

Solar energy systems have emerged as a viable source of renewable energy over the past two or three decades, and are now widely used for a variety of industrial and domestic applications. Such systems are based on a solar collector, designed to collect the sun’s energy and to convert it into either electrical power or thermal energy. In general, the power developed in such applications depends fundamentally upon the amount of solar energy captured by the collector, and thus the problem of developing tracking schemes capable of following the 11 trajectory of the sun throughout the course of the day on a year-round basis has received significant coverage in this paper. In Aden city (Yemen), the improvement in the performance of a solar cooker during summer was found to be as much as 40% for higher elevation angle and 70% for lower elevation angle, based on the developed tracking algorithms. Moreover, it was shown that the amount of solar energy captured by a tilted collector could be increased by more than 40% by adjusting the tilt angle on a seasonal basis. This paper is designed with AURDINO NANO. Depending upon the light falls on LDR the data will be read by the Microcontroller and the direction of the motor will be changed. With this direction the solar plates which are fixed to the stand will also rotates to gain the maximum sun rays. This paper uses regulated 12V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.

The environment of mine exploitation is special and dangerous, how to real-time monitor and collect information on the various nodes, how to master the location of miner and the environment at any time, it is a difficult problem for Coal mine enterprise to urgently solve. This paper presents the system design of monitoring system for coal mine safety constructed by zig bee and esp8266 (Wi-Fi), and gives the hardware design of sensor nodes and the flowchart of software. The sensor groups of the system intensively monitor temperature, humidity and other parameters in the underground mine, parameters measured are sent to wireless communication module by the micro-controller. The system can be used to confirm the position of miners and monitor environmental conditions in the underground mine, which will improve the level of monitoring production safety and reduce accident in the coal mine.

Energy generation companies supply electricity to all the households via intermediate controlled power transmission hubs known as Electricity Grid. Sometimes problems arise due to failure of the electricity grid leading to black out of an entire area which was getting supply from that particular grid. This paper aims to solve this problem using IOT as the means of communication and also tackling various other issues which a smart system can deal with to avoid unnecessary losses to the Energy producers. IOT Smart Energy Grid is based on AT mega family controller which controls the various activities of the system. The system communicates over internet by using Wi-Fi technology. A bulb is used in this paper to demonstrate as a valid consumer and a bulb to demonstrate an invalid consumer. The foremost thing that this paper facilitates is re-connection of transmission line to active grid. If an Energy Grid becomes faulty and there is an another Energy Grid, the system switches the Transmission Lines towards this Grid thus facilitating uninterrupted electricity supply to that particular region whose Energy Grid went OFF. And this information of which Grid is active is updated over IOT Gecko webpage where the authorities can login and can view the updates. Apart from monitoring the Grid this paper has advances capabilities of monitoring energy consumption and even detects theft of electricity. The amount of electricity consumed and the estimated cost of the usage gets updated on the IOT Gecko webpage along with the Energy Grid information. Theft conditions are simulated in the system using two switches. Switching one each time will simulate a theft condition and also will notify the authorities over the IOT interface. In this way the Smart Energy Grid paper makes sure that the electricity supply is continuous and helps in maintaining a updated record of consumption and theft information which is quite a valuable information for the energy producing companies.

Among existing biometrics, iris recognition systems are among the most accurate personal biometric identification systems. However, the acquisition of a workable iris image requires strict cooperation of the user; otherwise, the image will be rejected by a verification module because of its poor quality, inducing a high false reject rate (FRR). The FRR may also increase when iris localization fails or when the pupil is too dilated. To improve the existing methods, we propose to use video sequences acquired in real time by a camera. In order to keep the same computational load to identify the iris, we propose a new method to estimate the iris characteristics. First, we propose a new iris texture characterization based on Fourier-Mellin transform, which is less sensitive to pupil dilatations than previous methods. Then, we develop a new iris localization algorithm that is robust to variations of quality (partial occlusions due to eyelids and eyelashes, light reflects, etc.), and finally, we introduce a fast and new criterion of suitable image selection from an iris video sequence for an accurate recognition. The accuracy of each step of the algorithm in the whole proposed recognition process is tested and evaluated using our own iris video database and several public image databases, such as CASIA, UBIRIS, and BATH.

According to the recent surveys, in the past few years, an accident near the school zones, hospital zones and sharp turnings have increased tremendously, because of their hurry to get the targeted place soon. Therefore, controlling vehicle speed has been a crucial issue to be considered. This paper aims to give a practical, compact and simple design to develop an automatic vehicle speed control system, which has to be quickly get implemented in schools, colleges, hospitals, sharp turning zones to reduce the number of accidents. This automated speed controlling system is built using the microcontroller-based platform of the Arduino Uno board. By using Arduino the entire system is controlled. Whenever the vehicle is moving at high speed in restriction zones then an RFID reader will scan that vehicle and automatically controls the speed of the vehicle. After crossing that restriction zone then again, the vehicle moves at its normal speed.

At present Healthcare system has developed science and intelligence based on Wireless-Sensing nodes. Patients are confronting numerous issues because of the particular explanation of heart issues and assault due to the nonexistence of good clinical upkeep to patients when required. This is designed for monitoring the old patients and passing information to doctors and also loved ones. So by this innovative project, we can reduce death rates by using Patient Health Monitoring that uses sensor technology, and also internet connectivity to communicate with loved ones in case of emergency. This system uses Temperature, heartbeat sensor, saline level indicator, and accelerometer to track patient’s health. Both the sensors are associated with the Arduino-UNO. So as to follow the patient wellbeing condition a miniature regulator is interfaced to an LCD show and Wi-Fi regulator to send the information to the web-worker (remote detecting hub). In case of any sudden changes in the patient heart rate or body, a temperature alert is sent about the patient using IoT. This system also shows patients' heartbeat, temperature, saline level, and acceleration tracked live data with timestamps over the Internetwork. Thus, a Patient health monitoring system based on IOT uses the internet to effectively monitor patient health and helps the user monitoring their loved ones and saves lives.
